This is a very straightforward 5.5 km walk around the lake called Schlachtensee. It can be a bit muddy if it's been raining, otherwise it's a very popular tree-lined, lakeside walk.

Take the S-Bahn to Schlachtensee and go down to the lake. When you get there, turn left. About 3/4 of the way around you will come to the Alte Fischerhütte. Stop for a drink if you feel like it and then finish the walk, returning to the station.

If you prefer something more cosy, Cafe Amara is just next to the station, on the other side of the rails, or a little further Gabana for something more substantial.
